Noma Rangana
MISA-SA National Governing Council Chair

Noma has a background in media, ICTs and development. She has been working in the development sector for over ten years. She has worked for the Open Society Foundation s Media and ICT Programme and is currently working for Hivos South Africa' s Citizen Journalism in Africa programme. She holds a Masters Degree in Library and Information Science, a certificate in Systems Analysis and Design and a number of certificates on organisational, management and development related issues.

MISA-SA National Governing Council Treasurer

Dumi started his career in the community radio sector in 1996 and was the founding member of SACRIN. In 1999, Dumi joined the Live Africa Network News as the Marketing and Strategy Development manager and managed a budget of budget over R 5mill for the clients who contracted business to the agency for the year. He has also worked for the Caxton publication on the magazine division where he was the Strategic Business Development Director.
 
Dumi is currently the Executive Manager of Black Business Magazine within the stable of Portfolio Publication. He is the Executive Director at Magatsheni Agricomm (PTY) LTD (Strategic Relationship Management Company for the Agricultural sector). He is the Executive Chairman at Magatsheni Agricap (PTY) LTD (Capital Investment and Acquisition Company operating in the agricultural sector), a Visiting Council Member AGRI SA, the Founder and Board Member of IM NDLOVU Trust for people living with HIV and also the Founder and Board Member of Ndlovu Valente Farmer Development Trust.

Annalie Rautenbach
National Governing Council General Secretary

Annalie is in the newspaper trade since 1992. She has a degree in Psychology and post graduate in Business Management and Communication from University of Pretoria. She previously published the Menlyn News, a shopping centre newspaper for Old Mutual. Annalie is the founder of the Eastern Newspaper. Currently a director of CITINEWSROOM, publisher of four monthly community newspapers in Pretoria namely the Eastern News, Centurion News, Zambi News and Moot News which has a total monthly circulation of 96 000 copies in Pretoria. She is actively involved with all the various divisions of the newspapers but has a special interest in marketing and advertising.
CITINEWSROOM also publishes area guides for four regions in Pretoria on an annual basis. The Student2B is published bi-annually as a career guidance newspaper for grade 11 and 12 learners in Pretoria and surrounding areas as part of their social responsibility programme. Annalie is the Secretary General of MISA SA. She also a member of the board of the Association of Independent Publishers (AIP) as well as Capro.

Amina Frense
MISA-SA National Governing Council


Amina Frense is a broadcasting editor and has been active in Misa in various capacities which include two past NGC chairpersonships as well as member of the MISA Executive Council Committee.
She has worked in South Africa and abroad as Foreign correspondent. Amina is involved with other media organizations, she is a council member of SANEF, the South African Editor's forum and Board of Director of the Institute for the Advancement of Journalism (IAJ). Before joining the South African Broadcasting Association (SABA) as Project Manager in April 2008, Amina has held several senior editorial positions at the SABC.
